Samu Costa, the midfielder for Mallorca, has appointed Ulisses Santos, a prominent football agent, as his new representative. As he approaches his 25th birthday on November 17, Costa has joined US11 Football Management, a firm owned by Santos, a former associate of renowned super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Despite attempts to leave Mallorca last summer, Costa has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, stating, “Mallorca is currently my club, and I have an obligation to give my all for it.” This declaration came at a press conference following a match where Mallorca secured a 1-0 victory against Alavés. Last season, Costa was instrumental in coach Jagoba Arrasate’s strategy, participating in 32 league matches and accumulating over 2,600 minutes of play. He also made his senior international debut for Portugal, featuring in two Nations League matches against Poland.

In the ongoing 2025-26 season, Costa’s role in the starting lineup has become even more significant. He has started seven out of ten LaLiga matches, and his goal against Athletic Club in San Mamés has been nominated for the best goal of October in the domestic league.

Mallorca recognizes the potential to profit from Costa, who aspires to elevate his career even further. The 12th player of Mallorca has attracted attention from Premier League clubs, although he has maintained focus on his performance on the field amidst the media speculation. “Regardless of what happens, I am here, and I will give everything for this team. I will have good moments and bad moments, but no one can say I lack attitude; I will not accept that. That’s who I am,” he expressed after the match against Deportivo Alavés, which was part of the seventh round of LaLiga.

In August, Costa’s former agent, Jorge Mendes, traveled to Mallorca to present an offer for the Portuguese midfielder to the club’s sporting management, as reported by MARCA. However, the summer transfer window closed without a successful conclusion to the negotiation.

According to Transfermarkt, Samu Costa is considered the most valuable player in the Mallorca squad, with an estimated market value of 15 million euros, and he is contracted with the club until 2028.
