Sébastien Haller has openly expressed his concerns about certain teammates at FC Utrecht. Last week, Miguel Rodríguez and Derry John Murkin arrived late for the pre-match meeting prior to the cup game against FC Twente. Haller pointed out that this was not an isolated incident, voicing his disappointment over the lack of discipline within the club.

The situation is particularly concerning as FC Utrecht is currently facing a challenging season, having suffered three consecutive losses. The team, coached by Ron Jans, finds itself in a disappointing tenth position in the Eredivisie, which is far below expectations. Haller remarked, “Don’t talk to me about discipline, because I am the first to acknowledge that we need it,” during an interview with Voetbal International.

Haller is also dissatisfied with his personal performance this season, having scored only one goal in fourteen matches. He stated, “Mentally, it is not easy for me. I desperately want to showcase something special, not just for myself but for FC Utrecht as well. I aim to be a role model, which can sometimes be challenging. When we lose matches like this, I reflect heavily on my own contributions, as I need to step up and be one of the leaders in such moments.”
