Sevilla FC Delay Travel to Mallorca Due to Technical IssuesSevilla FC Delay Travel to Mallorca Due to Technical Issues

The Sevilla FC expedition, which was scheduled to travel this afternoon to Palma de Mallorca with the 23 players called up by Matías Almeyda, will now depart on Monday morning for the Balearic Islands. This change is due to a technical issue with the aircraft, as reported by the club through its official channels.

There was a possibility to travel this Sunday on an alternative flight; however, the club decided to prioritize the players’ rest and avoid delaying their arrival in Mallorca. The team will spend the night at their training facility and will fly to the Balearic Islands on Monday morning, according to information provided by the Nervionense club.

Additionally, February 2 marks the closure of the transfer window, during which Sevilla has strengthened their squad with the signing of forward Neal Maupay. The Franco-Argentinian player is the significant addition to Almeyda’s squad for the upcoming match at Son Moix, a fixture between two teams that have recorded similar performance metrics, each earning four points from the last 15 available. Mallorca enters the match following a heavy defeat against Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano.
