A new day of protests unfolded at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium as Sevilla FC supporters convened in the vicinity to call for the departure of the principal families involved in the club’s shareholding, as well as the existing board. Under the slogan ‘You are killing Sevilla!’, a group of fans approached the stadium from the North Goal area, with four individuals at the forefront of the march carrying a coffin that represented the ‘death of Sevilla’. They donned masks depicting Pepe Castro, José María del Nido Carrasco, Fernando Carrión, and Carolina Alés.

Accompanying them was another fan wearing a mask of Alberto Pérez Solano, the club’s head of legal services and intermediary in the share sale operation, who led the group while playing a funeral march on a drum.

Sevilla FC faces a significant challenge with their fanbase, currently ranking as the third worst home team in the league. They have only accumulated 10 points out of a possible 30 and have not secured a victory since December 14 against Oviedo, where they won 4-0. Protests are expected to continue, as has become customary, during the match with the board under scrutiny. Matías Almeyda appealed for unity before the game to foster a supportive environment for the players, but the current situation for Sevilla—both in sporting and institutional terms—is far from straightforward.
