Sevilla FC Prepares for Upcoming Match Against LevanteSevilla FC Prepares for Upcoming Match Against Levante

On Saturday morning, Sevilla FC conducted its sixth and final training session at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City. With just one day remaining before their home match against Levante, the Nervionense team has welcomed back Isaac Romero, who practiced alongside his teammates after recovering from a fever. It appears that the Lebrijan forward may be available for head coach Matías Almeyda in the upcoming match.

Sevilla will be without at least six players as they return to league competition. Alfon is sidelined due to a soleus injury in his left leg, which will keep him out for three to five weeks, a similar issue affecting Gabriel Suazo. Meanwhile, Rubén Vargas is in the final stages of his recovery process. “He is continuing to improve. Obviously, his injury was more serious than others. I believe he is on track, and we do not want to rush him, aiming for him to return fully fit. Rubén is very important for us, one of those players I want back as soon as possible,” explained Almeyda regarding the Swiss forward.

On Friday, the Appeals Committee announced that Marcao’s six-match suspension will stand, meaning the Brazilian will not return until the fourteenth matchday against Alavés. Additionally, neither Chidera Ejuke nor Akor Adams will participate in the match against Levante, as Nigeria is set to compete in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations against Mozambique this coming Monday.

This afternoon, Matías Almeyda will release the list of players called up to concentrate until the hours leading up to the match between Sevilla and Levante, corresponding to the eighteenth round of LaLiga EA Sports. The match is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium at 14:00.
