Sevilla FC conducted its fourth training session of the week on Friday at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City, marking the last practice before their match against Athletic Club tomorrow. During the morning session, Alfon González rejoined his teammates for partial training, signaling progress in his recovery. The winger had been sidelined since early month due to a soleus injury in his left leg, with his last appearance being against Real Madrid in the final match of 2025.

However, the team continues to grapple with several absentees. César Azpilicueta, Marcao, Tanguy Nianzou, Adnan Januzaj, Rubén Vargas, and Alexis Sánchez are unable to participate in training due to various injuries. Notably, Brazilian player Tanguy Nianzou is dealing with a fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left foot, and his recovery is currently under observation. Additionally, the central defender faces a further three-match suspension due to his ejection in the match against Real Madrid.

On Friday afternoon, Matías Almeyda is scheduled to address the media ahead of LaLiga’s twenty-first matchday. Later that day, the first team will proceed to concentrate as the Argentine coach announces the list of players called up for their upcoming league fixture. The match against Athletic Club is set to take place at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium on Saturday at 18:30.
