Southampton Secures Loan Signing of Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz from Bayern Munich

Southampton, currently competing in the Championship, has officially announced the acquisition of 25-year-old Israeli goalkeeper Daniel Peretz on loan from Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season.

Peretz previously spent the first half of the season on loan at Hamburg, where he did not make an appearance in the Bundesliga. Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Peretz stated, “I’m really happy to make this move to Southampton; it’s a great club in a good league, and I’m really looking forward to getting started. I want to help the team to get back in the Premier League. Although it’s a tough goal, I believe it’s realistic. There are many games left to play.”

Johannes Spors, the Group Technical Director, commented on the signing, saying, “Daniel arrives with proven ability both domestically and internationally. He has played at the highest level, and we’re delighted to welcome him here, as he adds further quality and depth to our goalkeeping department.”

Peretz joined Bayern Munich from Maccabi Tel Aviv in August 2023 for a fee of €5 million but has made only seven appearances across all competitions for the esteemed German club.
