In their pursuit to bolster the squad during the January transfer window, Bundesliga club Stuttgart has added Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo to their list of potential signings.

According to Florian Plettenberg, discussions have already taken place between VfB Stuttgart and Kalimuendo’s representatives. The underperforming Premier League club is also open to negotiations, even though Kalimuendo has yet to find the back of the net since joining. Nonetheless, Nottingham Forest remains supportive of their summer acquisition.

Kalimuendo signed a contract with Nottingham Forest until 2030 after transferring from Rennes for €30 million. He has played only 217 minutes across nine matches in all competitions, contributing to the club’s current position of 19th in the Premier League, with only two victories out of 11 matches.

In contrast, Stuttgart is enjoying a successful season, currently sitting fourth in the Bundesliga, just one point behind second-placed RB Leipzig. Despite the losses of Enzo Millot and Nick Woltemade, the team has maintained its competitive edge.

With Ermedin Demirović sidelined for about eight weeks due to a foot injury, Deniz Undav has returned to form, scoring four goals in his last five appearances across all competitions.
