Szoboszlai s Aspirations for Real Madrid Amid Liverpool UncertaintySzoboszlai s Aspirations for Real Madrid Amid Liverpool Uncertainty

omidbasir- According to reports from MARCA, Real Madrid has taken note of recent comments made by Rossi, who stated that his player, Hungary captain Dominik Szoboszlai, has always dreamed of playing for Los Blancos.

Rossi remarked, “[Szoboszlai] has always had one aspiration: to represent Real Madrid. Our close relationship since he began his football journey has made it clear that Real Madrid has always been his dream.”

He added, “I cannot predict if he will make that transition, as it ultimately depends on his decision as well as on his current club. I certainly do not dismiss the possibility of him remaining at Liverpool and renewing his contract, particularly given his high value to the club. He is an essential player for Liverpool, which is undeniably one of the largest football institutions worldwide.”

Should Szoboszlai move to Real Madrid in the future, it may require him to reconcile with Arda Guler, with whom he had a notable on-field confrontation during international duty in March 2025. Guler’s Turkey triumphed over Szoboszlai’s Hungary with a score of 3-0. The tension between the two escalated when Guler shushed Szoboszlai, provoking a response from Szoboszlai in the form of a comment on Guler’s Instagram post, referring to the limited minutes he had played for Real Madrid up to that season.

Following Szoboszlai’s recent Instagram post celebrating his wedding, his comments section was inundated with GIFs and images of Guler from Turkish fans.

There is no assurance that Liverpool will part with Szoboszlai, especially with ongoing negotiations regarding his contract. The 25-year-old, who has been one of the few bright spots in a challenging season for Liverpool, stated that his future is not entirely in his hands.

In a recent statement regarding his contract discussions, Szoboszlai noted, “Nothing has progressed yet, to be honest. It is not within my control. There is no advancement, but if the right offer arises, we shall see.

“Let’s see how things unfold; I hope everyone ends up satisfied. Naturally, I would like to stay. I enjoy the city, the club, playing alongside my teammates, and I cherish Anfield and its fans. We shall see what the future holds. It is not solely up to me; I would love to remain.”

Szoboszlai missed Liverpool’s recent 1-0 victory over Sunderland due to a one-game ban resulting from a red card received during the last minutes of a 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City. However, he returned to the starting lineup for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round clash against Brighton, contributing to a 3-0 win alongside goals from Curtis Jones and Mohamed Salah.
