omidbasir- Tammy Abraham has officially signed with Besiktas, as announced by the Turkish club, ahead of a reported transfer to Aston Villa.

The 28-year-old forward had been on loan at Besiktas from AS Roma this season, with a stipulation in his contract that allowed for a permanent move should certain conditions be met.

During his time with Besiktas, Abraham made a notable impact, scoring 13 goals in 26 appearances. He is anticipated to finalize a transfer to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa imminently, with the deal estimated to be worth around £18 million ($25 million).

Abraham did not participate in Besiktas’ recent 2-2 draw against Eyupspor on Monday night. In an official statement earlier that day, Besiktas confirmed, “The conditions in the transfer contract of Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham have been fulfilled, and the provision for the permanent transfer of the player has come into effect. In this context, a transfer fee of 13 million euros will be paid to AS Roma.”

Abraham began his career in Chelsea’s academy but later moved to AS Roma in 2021 after finding limited opportunities at Chelsea. During his tenure with the Serie A club, he scored 39 goals in 120 matches and was part of the team that won the UEFA Conference League under manager José Mourinho.

After facing a setback due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, he spent the previous season on loan at AC Milan, where he netted 10 goals in 44 appearances.

His most recent appearance for the England national team was in a goalless Nations League draw against Italy in June 2022.
