Tammy Abraham spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Aston Villa, securing promotion to the Premier League.

Besiktas has completed the purchase of Tammy Abraham from Roma for £11.2 million. The Turkish club is now preparing to transfer him to Aston Villa.

After traveling to the UK on Friday, Abraham underwent a medical examination on Saturday, following Villa’s agreement on an £18 million deal with the Super Lig side.

Besiktas initially had an obligation to buy Abraham as part of the loan arrangement that brought him from Roma last summer. Although they were reluctant to sell the player, the club has ultimately consented to his return to England.

During his time at Besiktas, Abraham made a notable impact, scoring 12 goals in 24 appearances and earning 11 caps for the England national team.

“The conditions in the transfer contract of Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham have been fulfilled, and the provision for the permanent transfer of the player has come into effect,” stated Besiktas.

“In this context, a transfer fee of €13 million will be paid to AS Roma.”

The 28-year-old striker originally joined Roma from Chelsea for £34 million in 2021, where he netted 39 goals in 120 games and contributed to the team’s Europa Conference League victory in 2022. Additionally, he spent the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, scoring 10 times in 44 appearances.
