The Ghanaian international is scheduled to appear before the Westminster Court in March. His legal troubles are intensifying, as he is currently under investigation for five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The charges against Partey date back to incidents that occurred in 2021 and 2022. He previously appeared in court earlier this season, where he pleaded not guilty, and he is expected to return to a British court in November. For the new allegations, he must appear again on March 13.

His transfer to Villarreal was controversial, with the club citing the presumption of innocence as their basis for signing him.
