omidbasir- Manchester City is actively seeking to enhance their defensive lineup by pursuing Tino Livramento from Newcastle United. According to reports from TalkSPORT, Pep Guardiola’s team has been monitoring the 23-year-old right back for several months, viewing him as a long-term solution for their defensive needs. Currently, City has been utilizing versatile midfielder Matheus Nunes in that position. Newcastle remains optimistic about securing Livramento with a new contract at St. James’ Park; however, he has yet to signal a willingness to extend his stay.

In parallel, Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers has caught the attention of Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, alongside Manchester United and Arsenal, as reported by TEAMtalk. PSG is reportedly keeping a close watch on the 23-year-old’s situation this season, while Liverpool has expressed interest in acquiring his services. Despite Rogers’ representatives being aware of the growing interest, he is under contract at Villa Park until 2031, which means a substantial transfer fee would be necessary for any prospective move.

Additionally, AC Milan is poised to rebuff interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur in relation to USMNT winger Christian Pulisic this summer, as stated by Football Insider. Previous reports have suggested that a bid of approximately €70 million would be required to persuade the Serie A club to part ways with the 27-year-old, who is currently Milan’s leading scorer with eight goals in the league this season.

Meanwhile, Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade appears dissatisfied with his position at the club, according to Bild. The 24-year-old, who recently transferred from VfB Stuttgart for €75 million, is already seeking a return to the Bundesliga, with potential interest from both Stuttgart and Bayern Munich, who previously showed interest in him during the summer. This season, Woltemade has scored 10 goals in 38 appearances for Newcastle across all competitions.

On another note, discussions between Liverpool and midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai regarding a new contract are reportedly advancing. TEAMtalk indicates that Liverpool has no intention of letting the 25-year-old leave amid recent speculation linking him to Real Madrid, and they are prepared to accommodate all of his demands to ensure he remains at Anfield. Szoboszlai has been a pivotal player for the Reds, contributing 10 goals and providing six assists in 34 matches this season, with his current contract lasting until the summer of 2028.

Rogers has emerged as a significant talent, having been signed for an initial £8 million from Middlesbrough over two years ago. Despite not making the grade at the Manchester City academy, he is now a key attacking figure for Aston Villa, leading all Premier League players aged 23 and under in combined goals and assists (13). He has showcased his exceptional ability to drive forward with the ball, displaying both strength and finesse in his play, including remarkable long-range goals.

Whether Aston Villa can retain Rogers may hinge on their Champions League qualification, as he has expressed contentment in the Midlands and praised manager Unai Emery as a ‘genius.’ If they miss out on the Champions League, a bidding war could easily escalate beyond £80 million.

In other news, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has agreed to a new contract that will secure his future at the Emirates Stadium until 2031, while the club has no plans to part ways with attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, despite his recent form. Bayern Munich appears unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for on-loan Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Brighton is reportedly ahead of Bayern Munich in their pursuit of FC Cologne forward Said El Mala, while news surfaces that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kais Anelka, son of former France international Nicolas Anelka, is being monitored by Modena. Borussia Dortmund has agreed to a deal for Cruzeiro’s left back Kaua Prates, valued at an initial €7 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney is open to returning to the Premier League, while Everton is expected to dismiss interest from Tottenham Hotspur in midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Brazilian second division club Remo is in discussions to sign former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard for the remainder of the season.
