Transfer Updates: Mateta to AC Milan, Willock’s Rejection, and Rashford’s Future

Jean-Philippe Mateta has reached an agreement with AC Milan for a contract that extends until 2030. However, Crystal Palace’s manager, Oliver Glasner, has indicated that the 28-year-old French striker will not be permitted to leave unless a suitable replacement is secured.

Currently, Mateta is awaiting clearance to travel to AC Milan for a medical examination; nevertheless, the final decision regarding the transfer remains with Crystal Palace.

In another development, Fulham’s £20 million bid for Newcastle United’s Joe Willock has been turned down. Newcastle has stated that they will not proceed with the sale of the 26-year-old midfielder until they can identify a replacement.

Additionally, Michael Carrick, should he remain as Manchester United’s head coach beyond this season, has expressed interest in bringing back England forward Marcus Rashford, 28, from his current loan at Barcelona.

Interest is also brewing for Chelsea’s 19-year-old England Under-21 forward Tyrique George, with Sunderland and Everton among the clubs monitoring his situation. European clubs from Spain, France, and Italy are also keeping a close watch on him.

Sunderland has put forth an offer for 25-year-old French forward Wilson Isidor to Napoli.
