Jean-Philippe Mateta has reached an agreement with AC Milan for a contract that extends until 2030. However, Crystal Palace’s manager, Oliver Glasner, has indicated that the 28-year-old French striker will not be permitted to leave unless a suitable replacement is secured.

Currently, Mateta is awaiting clearance to travel to AC Milan for a medical examination; nevertheless, the final decision regarding the transfer remains with Crystal Palace.

In another development, Fulham’s £20 million bid for Newcastle United’s Joe Willock has been turned down. Newcastle has stated that they will not proceed with the sale of the 26-year-old midfielder until they can identify a replacement.

Additionally, Michael Carrick, should he remain as Manchester United’s head coach beyond this season, has expressed interest in bringing back England forward Marcus Rashford, 28, from his current loan at Barcelona.
