Tygo Land’s Struggles for Playing Time at FC Groningen

Tygo Land has yet to make a significant impact at FC Groningen. The talented midfielder is currently on loan from PSV, but he has not managed to secure a starting position at the club.

At just 19 years old, Land has long been considered a promising talent at PSV, with some even drawing comparisons to Frenkie de Jong. Last summer, due to limited playing time with the first team, PSV was open to loaning him out. After receiving considerable interest, he ultimately chose to join FC Groningen. However, after thirteen matches, he has only played a disappointing 124 minutes.

“To be completely honest, this is not at all what I had expected,” Land remarked in an interview with Voetbal International.
