Uncertainty Surrounds Robin van Persie s Future as Feyenoord CoachUncertainty Surrounds Robin van Persie s Future as Feyenoord Coach

There is a realistic possibility that Robin van Persie may not complete the current season as the head coach of Feyenoord. In such a scenario, it is unlikely that Dennis te Kloese will be tasked with appointing a successor, given that his own performance is also being questioned.

Internally, van Persie’s situation is under review. Following the disappointing loss to PSV (3-0), he stated that he would not resign, thus leaving his fate in the hands of others. “First and foremost, it rests with general and technical director Dennis te Kloese. Te Kloese and financial director Pieter Smorenburg, as members of the board, can decide to dismiss the coach,” reports Algemeen Dagblad. Currently, Te Kloese does not wish to take an official stance on the matter.

Dennis te Kloese himself is also facing criticism. “Internally, there are voices suggesting that if van Persie is indeed relieved of his duties, Te Kloese should not appoint a coach for the third time, as he has not proven to be effective in this regard,” the newspaper notes. “As general director, Te Kloese finds himself in a very different situation. Feyenoord must and will achieve unity within the club, which has long been fragmented into various unclear factions.”
