U.S. Offers Priority Visa Interviews for FIFA World Cup Ticket HoldersU.S. Offers Priority Visa Interviews for FIFA World Cup Ticket Holders

FIFA World Cup ticket holders will be granted prioritized visa interviews prior to their arrival in the United States for the tournament.

This announcement was made on Monday following discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump, the White House Task Force, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System, known as FIFA PASS, aims to assist the Trump administration in maintaining a stringent immigration framework while facilitating the entry of international visitors attending the prestigious soccer tournament.

“America welcomes the world,” Infantino stated in a press release. “We have consistently asserted that this will be the greatest and most inclusive FIFA World Cup in history, and the FIFA PASS service exemplifies that commitment.”

The tournament will take place across eleven U.S. cities, featuring 78 matches as part of the expanded 48-team format. Additionally, three cities in Mexico and two cities in Canada will also host games.

Following the release of tickets in October, FIFA reported that ticket sales had exceeded one million, prompting the commencement of Phase 2 of sales in late October for further ticket availability.

Teams worldwide are currently finalizing their qualifications to complete the 48-team lineup, with host nations the U.S., Mexico, and Canada having secured their spots. The group-stage draw is scheduled for December 5.

President Trump has strongly encouraged World Cup attendees to apply for their visas as soon as possible.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the administration has deployed over 400 additional consular officers globally to meet the anticipated visa demand. He also mentioned that in about 80% of the world, travelers can secure a visa appointment within 60 days.
