The U.S. Soccer Federation has officially announced the details for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, which will see the United States women’s national team competing against Argentina, Canada, and Colombia.

All three opponents are ranked 30th or higher globally, with Argentina positioned at No. 30, Canada at No. 10, and Colombia at No. 20. The U.S. women currently hold the second rank, trailing only Spain.

Colombia recently emerged as a finalist in the 2025 Copa América Feminina, defeating Argentina in a thrilling semifinal that concluded with a penalty shootout after a dramatic 4-4 draw.

“These three teams are likely to qualify for the 2027 World Cup, and we anticipate Canada’s participation in World Cup qualifying later this year. Therefore, the SheBelieves Cup is crucial for our ongoing preparations and team development,” commented U.S. manager Emma Hayes.

“Each team presents unique strengths and will challenge us to excel in various facets of the game, which is precisely what we need as we aim for upcoming major events.”

The SheBelieves Cup will feature doubleheader matches at three different venues. The competition will commence with Canada and Colombia facing off at Nashville’s GEODIS Park on March 1, followed by a match between the U.S. women’s national team and Argentina later that evening.

Three days later, Argentina will compete against Colombia, followed by the U.S. taking on long-time rivals Canada at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus, Ohio.

The tournament will conclude on March 7 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, where Canada will face Argentina, followed by the U.S. women competing against Colombia.

Historically, the U.S. has won seven of the past ten editions of the SheBelieves Cup, although Japan claimed the trophy in 2025.

In terms of previous encounters, the U.S. has a perfect record against Argentina, winning all six matches, the latest being a 3-0 victory in October 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. Against Canada, the U.S. boasts an impressive all-time record of 54 wins, 4 losses, and 9 draws, including a 3-0 win on July 2 in Washington, D.C.

This match against Colombia will mark the 15th meeting between the two teams, with the U.S. holding a record of 12 wins, 0 losses, and 2 draws, the most recent clash ending in a 2-0 victory during the 2025 SheBelieves Cup.

Additionally, the match against Colombia will honor U.S. soccer legend Tobin Heath, who will be celebrated in a pre-match ceremony. Heath, a New Jersey native, earned 181 caps for the USWNT between 2008 and 2021, scoring 36 goals and contributing to two World Cup and two Olympic gold medal victories. She is set to be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame on May 1, 2026.

Colombia will be making its second appearance in the SheBelieves Cup, having finished third in the 2025 tournament. Canada will participate for the fourth time, following placements of second, fourth, and third in previous years, while this will be Argentina’s second time competing, with their first appearance in 2021 resulting in a fourth-place finish.

The 2026 SheBelieves Cup will follow the USWNT’s January training camp in Los Angeles, scheduled from January 17-27, which will include matches against Paraguay and Chile on January 24 and January 27, respectively.
