Valencia Close to Signing Free Agent Renzo SaraviaValencia Close to Signing Free Agent Renzo Saravia

omidbasir- Renzo Saravia, the Argentine right-back currently without a contract, is nearing a move to Valencia, marking the club’s 12th signing of the season. Following eight summer additions, Valencia has also secured Sadid, Guido, and Unai during the winter transfer window. With Foulquier facing a long-term injury, Valencia has opened a roster spot to bring in a right-back.

At 32 years old, Saravia presents one of the few viable options available to Valencia within the free-agent market. Initially, the player sought a minimum two-year contract; however, negotiations appear to be progressing positively, and both Valencia and the player seem set to finalize the agreement. Prior to finalizing the deal with Saravia, the club needed to officially release Foulquier, which has been completed today, as the player is no longer registered due to his injury and subsequent surgery.

Valencia’s right-back situation has drastically changed, with Foulquier out post-surgery and Thierry struggling with recurring muscle injuries that limit his availability. As a temporary solution, Unai Núñez has been utilized in a right-back role, playing as a third central defender. Although Núñez has performed admirably, it is clear that his natural position is not as a right-back, prompting Corberán to push for the acquisition of a dedicated player for the role.
