Valencia Prepares for Unai N ez s Transfer RegistrationValencia Prepares for Unai N ez s Transfer Registration

Valencia CF is currently anticipating the arrival of the international transfer of Unai Núñez, which will enable the club to formally register him and make him available for head coach Carlos Corberán. Corberán aims to include Núñez in the squad for the upcoming match against Espanyol, pending the completion of the transfer formalities.

The player arrived in Valencia on Friday afternoon after spending part of the season with Hellas Verona in Italy. Núñez, who has maintained a high level of competitiveness by playing 18 matches (over 1,300 minutes) across Serie A and the Coppa Italia, visited the Valencia CF training complex to undergo a medical examination, the final step before officially signing onto the team.

At the Paterna facilities, Núñez met his new teammates for the first time, as well as head coach Carlos Corberán. The coach has emphasized the need to strengthen the defense following injuries to players Mouctar Diakhaby and César Tárrega. Corberán views Núñez as an immediately effective addition, familiar with LaLiga and capable of integrating into the team without an extended adaptation period, as discussed in meetings with Ron Gourlay, Valencia’s football CEO.

After completing the medical assessments, Núñez headed to the usual hotel for new arrivals, where he will spend the night with the rest of the team. Valencia aims to expedite his integration into the team’s dynamics and facilitate his incorporation, regardless of the transfer status.

The club is eagerly awaiting the necessary documentation to register Núñez in time for their next league commitment. In recent weeks, Corberán has had to resort to makeshift solutions in defense, such as deploying Pepelu in a central role during the match against Getafe. He hopes to have Núñez available “as soon as possible” given the pressing defensive needs and the urgency to reinforce a backline affected by injuries.

Currently, the list of players called up by Valencia includes: Dimtrievski, Abril, Pere Joan, Foulquier, Iranzo, Copete, Cömert, Fontanet, Panach, Marcos Navarro, Vázquez, Rioja, Diego López, Ramazani, Danjuma, Raba, Pepelu, Ugrinic, Guerra, Santamaria, Almeida, Hugo Duro, Beltrán, and Sadiq.
