Valencia s Raba and Baptiste Remain with the Team Amid Transfer UncertaintyValencia s Raba and Baptiste Remain with the Team Amid Transfer Uncertainty

Ron Gourlay stated before the match against Betis that it was unlikely for the Valencia squad to undergo any changes on the final day of the transfer window, both in terms of arrivals and departures. Early Monday, MARCA confirmed that both Raba and Baptiste will remain with the team until the end of the season.

Despite the club’s interest in offloading these players to facilitate the acquisition of a right-wing player, both the forward and the defensive midfielder have decided to continue with their current contracts.

Their agents have made it clear that neither player will be moving, and they will continue under the direction of coach Corberán. Even the coach’s decision to leave Raba out of the traveling squad for the match against Sevilla did not prompt a change in their stance.

Raba and Baptiste joined the club this summer during a significant overhaul initiated by the coach and director Corona prior to their departure to Greece. Among the eight signings, they have been the least utilized. Raba, whose contract extends until 2027, started off strong but quickly faded from consideration once Danjuma joined the team. Baptiste’s situation is similar; he arrived on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract but has seen his form decline, especially with the recent signing of Guido Rodríguez, which has further diminished his chances of playing this season.

Ultimately, despite the uncertain sporting prospects for both players, there has been no movement in the transfer market. The club has not presented any offers for them to consider, suggesting that unless there is an unexpected last-minute change, both players will continue with the team.
