Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is actively seeking to enhance its striker options during the upcoming winter transfer window.

One potential target is Jeremy Arevalo, a 20-year-old striker currently playing for Racing Santander. Arevalo has made an impressive mark in the Spanish second division, scoring seven goals in just 12 matches.

Although Arevalo’s contract with the northern Spanish club extends until 2027, it includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart, however, will have to contend with interest from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A clubs such as AS Roma and Udinese.

Should Stuttgart successfully secure Arevalo’s signature, his transfer fee would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete over the summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig recently acquired Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes for €20 million, indicating the market’s competitiveness.

Currently, Stuttgart’s options for the striker position are limited due to the injury to Ermedin Demirovic earlier in the season. Presently, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only players available to fill this role, leaving the team without a recognized forward.

In recent weeks, there were speculations linking VfB with Real Madrid’s Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian does not appear to be a target for Stuttgart at this time.
