Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is keen on bolstering its striker options in the upcoming winter transfer window. Among the potential candidates is Jeremy Arevalo, a striker from Racing Santander. The 20-year-old has made a significant impact in the Spanish second division, netting seven goals in just 12 appearances. Arevalo is under contract in northern Spain until 2027; however, his deal includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart faces competition for his signature from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A clubs AS Roma and Udinese. If VfB Stuttgart successfully signs Arevalo, the transfer fee will surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete last summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig previously made headlines by acquiring Yan Diomande from relegated Leganés for €20 million. Currently, Stuttgart is experiencing a shortage of options in the striker position due to the injury of Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. At present, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players capable of playing as a striker, leaving the team without a recognized forward. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart had been linked with Real Madrid striker Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian is reportedly not a target at Mercedesstraße.
