Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is keen on enhancing its striker options during the upcoming winter transfer window.

One of the players under consideration is Racing Santander striker Jeremy Arevalo. The 20-year-old has made a notable impression, scoring seven goals in 12 matches in the Spanish second division.

Arevalo is under contract in northern Spain until 2027, though he possesses a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart is not alone in its pursuit; Bundesliga rival Eintracht Frankfurt and Serie A clubs AS Roma and Udinese are also showing interest in the young talent.

Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s signing, the transfer fee would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete this summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig made headlines with their €20 million acquisition of Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes, further highlighting the market activity in LaLiga2.

Currently, Stuttgart finds itself in a precarious situation in the striker department following Ermedin Demirovic’s injury earlier this season. Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players suited for the striker role, leaving the team in need of a recognized forward.

In recent weeks, VfB has also been linked with Real Madrid striker Endrick; however, it appears that the out-of-favor Brazilian does not align with Stuttgart’s current interests.
