Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is keen to bolster its striker options during the winter transfer window.

Among the potential recruits is 20-year-old Jeremy Arevalo, a striker from Racing Santander, who has made a notable impression by scoring seven goals in just 12 appearances in Spain’s second division.

Arevalo is under contract in northern Spain until 2027, but he possesses a release clause valued at €7 million. Stuttgart is competing for his services against fellow Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A clubs AS Roma and Udinese.

Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s signing, he would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete last summer. Moreover, RB Leipzig previously entered the LaLiga2 market with a €20 million acquisition of Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes.

Currently, Stuttgart’s striker options are limited due to the injury of Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. Presently, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only players available for the striker role, leaving the team without a recognized forward.

In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked to Real Madrid striker Endrick; however, this out-of-favor Brazilian does not appear to be a priority at Mercedesstraße.
