Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is looking to strengthen its striker department during the upcoming winter transfer window. One of the leading options under consideration is Jeremy Arevalo, the 20-year-old forward currently playing for Racing Santander. Arevalo has impressed this season in LaLiga2, scoring seven goals in 12 matches, highlighting his potential at senior level.

Although the striker is under contract until 2027, his situation remains accessible due to a €7 million release clause. Stuttgart, however, faces strong competition from Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Italian clubs AS Roma and Udinese, who are also monitoring the player’s development.

Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s signing, the deal would exceed the €5.25 million fee Bayer Leverkusen paid to sign Christian Kofane from Albacete last summer. The Bundesliga’s interest in LaLiga2 talent has also been visible with RB Leipzig acquiring Yan Diomande from Leganés for €20 million.

Stuttgart’s need for attacking reinforcements has increased following the injury to Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. Currently, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomás are the only available options in the striker position, leaving the squad without a natural centre-forward.

In recent weeks, Stuttgart has also been linked with Real Madrid forward Endrick, but the Brazilian is reportedly not a target for the club at this time.
