Wesley Gassova Ribeiro Set to Join Real Sociedad on LoanWesley Gassova Ribeiro Set to Join Real Sociedad on Loan

omidbasir- Wesley Gassova Ribeiro, a 20-year-old right winger from Brazil, currently plays for Al-Nassr, the club associated with Cristiano Ronaldo. He joined Al-Nassr at the end of 2024 from Corinthians for a fee of €18 million. Reports indicate that he is set to arrive in San Sebastián shortly to strengthen Real Sociedad’s roster, particularly in light of Take Kubo’s recent injury. Moreover, Pellegrino Matarazzo has expressed a keen interest in adding another forward to his team. An agreement for his loan, which includes a purchase option valued at €12 million, is now confirmed.

Wesley, who is a part of Brazil’s U20 national team and is considered one of the brightest prospects, has been the only player seriously linked with Real Sociedad during this winter transfer window. This information was initially reported by Noticias de Gipuzkoa, and later confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, stating that the loan is set for the remainder of the season, accompanied by a €12 million buyout clause.

The young Brazilian, if the purchase option is exercised, would align with Real Sociedad’s strategy of investing in future talents, similar to previous signings like Óskarsson, Sucic, and Zakharyan. This approach follows last summer’s acquisitions of established players such as Guedes, Carlos Soler, Caleta-Car, and Yangel Herrera. Given his limited involvement with Cristiano Ronaldo’s side, having featured in only half of the league matches, Wesley would welcome the opportunity to move to Spain and make an impact.
