Wesley Sneijder appears to still aspire to a role at Ajax. The record international previously met with General Director Menno Geelen to discuss potential opportunities; however, communication has since been sparse. This silence is likely due to the appointment of a new technical director, who ultimately must decide whether Sneijder can secure a position within the organization. With Jordi Cruijff now in that role, the outlook seems favorable for the former midfielder.

In an interview with Ziggo Sport, Sneijder confirmed that he has already had discussions with General Director Menno Geelen regarding his potential involvement. “We have addressed a few matters, which I won’t disclose here. The situation is quite clear: a new technical director must be appointed as soon as possible, and then we will assess where I fit in.”
