omidbasir- Tuva Hansen has officially joined West Ham United from Bayern Munich, marking her transition to the Women’s Super League. The 28-year-old defender, who had been with the German club since January 2023, is a seasoned player with an impressive track record, having secured three consecutive Frauen-Bundesliga titles and competed in the UEFA Champions League.

With 60 international caps, Hansen has also represented Norway in both the World Cup and European Championships. Her arrival at West Ham marks the club’s fourth signing during this transfer window, and head coach Rita Guarino expressed confidence in Hansen’s ability to contribute significantly to the team, highlighting her leadership qualities, versatility, and adept game management.

“Tuva has been a key player for her previous club and the national team over many years, and I’m sure she will be a real asset for this group,” Guarino commented.

Having originally joined Bayern Munich after winning two Toppserien league titles with SK Brann in Norway, Hansen stated her intent to bring “experience” and a “winning mentality” to West Ham. “The WSL has grown a lot over the last couple of years, so I’m excited by the challenge and to test myself against the best teams in the world,” she remarked.
