Wout Weghorst Aims for Return from Ankle Injury by January 11

Wout Weghorst is currently rehabilitating from a torn ankle ligament. The Ajax striker acknowledges the severity of his injury but has set an ambitious goal for his return. He hopes to be back in action on January 11 against Telstar.

In an interview with Viaplay, the 33-year-old striker shared, “I’m relieved that my cast has just been removed. I had been in a light cast for two and a half weeks. My ankle ligament was completely torn, and it was indeed a serious injury. Fortunately, I am now experiencing improvement and can walk without pain. Playing darts has come naturally, which is a positive sign.”
