Zagadou Faces Another Injury SetbackZagadou Faces Another Injury Setback

In a disappointing turn of events, Stuttgart centre-back Dan-Axel Zagadou is set to return to the sidelines due to yet another injury setback. Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeneß confirmed during a press conference on Wednesday that the 26-year-old defender did not participate in the recent match against his former Bundesliga team, Borussia Dortmund, and will not be joining the squad for their Europa League fixture against Deventer Go Ahead Eagles in Holland on Thursday.

Hoeneß expressed his disappointment regarding Zagadou’s ongoing struggles with injuries, which have unfortunately reverted to a familiar and frustrating pattern.

“We were caught off guard by this news of a significant muscle injury,” Hoeneß stated. “He won’t start training until next week. It’s just bitter for the boy, who demonstrated that he could return to a high level. It’s equally disappointing for us, as we have a player who has shown he can perform exceptionally well in the Bundesliga and is capable of competing at the highest level.”
